SharePoint Syntex: Update to AI Builder credit allocation
MC365119 · COMPUTERS N’ STUFF
To ensure Syntex users have access to the right model services for their business needs we are amending the license threshold for AI Builder credits. These credits are required to train and run form processing models. Currently you must already have these credits through a dedicated add-on or by purchasing at least 300 licenses for a renewable monthly allocation of 1M credits. We are expanding the eligibility for AI Builder credits by including 3,500 credits per SharePoint Syntex license per month pooled at the tenant level, with a maximum allocation of 1M credits per month.

Key points

  • Timing: Rollout will begin in late May and is expected to be completed by early June.
  • Action: review and assess

How this will affect your organization:

As a result of this change, if you didn’t have enough licenses (300) to get the seeded allocation (1M credits), you will now have AI Builder credits being made available – based on your number of Syntex licenses – to train and use form processing models.

Note: Unless form processing is disabled, there is no other change.

What you need to do to prepare:

The revised credit allocation will be made automatically based on your Syntex license count.

You can confirm this in:

If you have form processing disabled, you will need to enable for your tenant – or select sites – to use these credits for training and running form processing models.
